3. Mobile verification

We may use a one-time verification code or PIN sent by SMS to verify that a mobile number provided through our website is valid and accessible by the person making the enquiry.

Mobile verification is used as part of our enquiry process and does not involve Business Loans Connect conducting a credit check.

Meeting Business Loans Connect's initial referral criteria does not mean that you have been approved or pre-approved for finance.

Any assessment of your finance application, including eligibility, credit assessment, approval, rates, fees and finance terms, is undertaken by the relevant broker or lender.

5. Sharing your information with funding partners

If you submit a business finance enquiry and meet our initial referral criteria, we may disclose the information you have provided to a participating business finance broker or lender so that they can contact you, assess your enquiry and discuss available business finance options.

Business Loans Connect generally refers a successful enquiry to one participating funding partner at a time.

The funding partner that receives your information will handle that information in accordance with its own privacy obligations and privacy policy.

Once your information has been disclosed to a funding partner, that organisation is responsible for its own subsequent collection, use, disclosure, storage and retention of your personal information.

Business Loans Connect does not control how a funding partner subsequently uses or manages your personal information and is not responsible for the funding partner's independent acts or practices, except to the extent that responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

Business Loans Connect does not control a funding partner's credit assessment, lending decision or subsequent handling of your information.

6. Other organisations we may disclose information to

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to organisations that help us operate our business and services, including:

Any finance assessment or lending decision is made by the relevant broker or lender under its own processes.

You may request access to personal information that Business Loans Connect holds about you or ask us to correct information that you believe is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
